About Us
Hidden Grove Campground is owned and operated by Michael and Brenda Mills. It was established in 2008 and began as a piece of property full of willows. It took 3 years of working the land; clearing trees, building roads, digging ditches, to make it what it is today.
In 2012 Hidden Grove Campground opened its gates to the public with only 10 sites available with power, water and sewer. As each year passed more sites were built and more amenities were added. Today in 2018, Hidden Grove has 40 sites available, all with at least power and water. There is a Laundromat and Coin Showers for your convenience. Beach Volleyball, Horse shoe pits and a 9 Hole Golf course were also added for your entertainment. There are walking and bike trails throughout the trees and property for a scenic walk or ride.
It is not uncommon to see Deer, Fox and Canada Geese roaming the property. The camp spots are nestled in the Spruce and Birch trees. There are larger areas for Group sites, and a large tent for shelter, making Hidden Grove Campground a great place for Family Reunions.
Within a short walking distance there is a heated outdoor pool and 2 playgrounds to choose from. A pump track for the bikes and skateboarders, a soccer field and a basketball court are all within a 2 minute walk from your campsite. A Community Hall and Library are also within walking distance.
Just up the road there are many food venues to choose from like A&W, Subway and Pizza Depot. There is also a Homestyle Country Restaurant for good’ol home cooking. Gas stations, Convenience Stores a Motel and even a Saloon for your entertainment are all within 1 km of your campsite.
Hidden Grove is open year round, offering sites for work crews, seasonal campers and year rounders.
The owners Michael and Brenda Mills also run an Automotive Repair Shop called Mills Motors at the same location as Hidden Grove. Mills Motors has been in business for 65 years established in 1953 by Mike Mills Sr. and Helen Mills. This business originally began at the corner in the Esso Gas station. The family sold the Gas Station in 2009 and moved the business 1km North to the Hidden Grove Campground. Mills Motors still offers great service after 65 years; repairing vehicles, services, selling new tires and repairing old ones.
The fufture is very exciting for Hidden Grove Campground. More sites are being built every year expanding the campground further into the deeper trees. A stage is in the process of being built to one day host music festivals and events. A driving range is also in the future for Hidden Grove.
In the 10 years since Hidden Grove Campground has been around it has come a long way and there is much more to come.
